I have been with a company for 23 years, all of a sudden he decides to sell the business and the new company offers me a job doing the same thing and some new stuff also, it is way farther a drive and I would still have to work with and see my previous employer everyday. I do not want to do this kind of heavy labour as I’m getting older and not as strong. I was told if I don’t accept the offer I will get 8 weeks of pay ( but have to work it) and that’s it. Wasn’t even offered a severance pkg. I know I’m entitled to something but not sure what..
