Hello there. In September of this year, 2 positions let's call them as position A & position B were posted in my department at the company I work. Candidates 1, 2, 3 applied for position A and candidates 2, 3, 4 applied for position B. After interviews in mid October & early November, candidate 1 was not offered position A but was handed position B for which the person did not apply. Is this right? and what are your suggestions. Thank you.

the company can choose to manage their workforce how they want so legally speaking there is nothing wrong with what the company did.
