i started a new job i was told it was going to be 120 dollars each day for 5 days of training. i was then told i am not needed after 2 days and have not gotten a reply since. is it worth my time trying to collect what i should have made?

You should definitely get paid for the time you spent there. Did you have an employment contract? If so, was there any mention of termination entitlements? We would require further particulars regarding your employment in order to properly assess your entitlements.
