As an employer how can I verify if my employees have had there vaccination? They have presented a the first document (not QR code) can I call health Canada to verify these are real?

Requiring employees to be vaccinated against Covid-19 may or may not be an enforceable term of employment depending on whether there is a government mandate in place and possibly the nature of the workplace/industry. It is important as an employer to have a vaccination policy in place that both protects the workplace from undue risk and also respects the rights of employees. If your employees consent to be requiring vaccination as a term of employment, you can verify their vaccination status with government issued vaccine receipts or enhanced vaccine certificates (with a QR code).
