I've been on short-term disability from my full-time remote role for the past three weeks. I will not be returning in the near future. However, today I noticed my company has posted a job listing that closely matches my position, with only minor changes. I suspect they're trying to replace me. Is this legal? Do I have any protections?

Thank you for your question. Your employer does have the right to replace you temporarily while you are off on medical leave. That said, when you are cleared to return to work by a medical professional, you as an employee do have the right to return to the same position and terms of employment that you left. If your employer does not return you to your position, please give us a call at the number below immediately.
