Subject: Assistance with Workplace Harassment and Weekly Indemnity Documentation
Good afternoon,
I have been working at a non-unionized organization for four years, during which I was not provided with a collective agreement. Back in August 2024, I was chased outside my workplace, which has led to ongoing anxiety. Since then, there have been significant changes in the workplace, including what I believe are unjustified performance reviews, along with personal stresses.
As a result, I have been on leave since February 2, 2025. However, I am experiencing harassment from my workplace through unnecessary emails. Recently, they informed me that I am on Weekly Indemnity and requested documentation from a psychiatrist. Unfortunately, my psychiatrist is unable to complete these forms due to having insufficient time to evaluate me fully.
I would appreciate your advice on the following:
What are my rights in this situation regarding the harassment and excessive communication from my employer?
How can I manage their requests for documentation when my psychiatrist is unable to provide it?
Are there any legal protections or steps I can take concerning the issues I’ve faced at work (e.g., anxiety from the August 2024 incident, workplace changes, and performance reviews)?
Thank you for your guidance.
