My work paid me for a full week vacation (40) however, I only had enough vacation pay to cover 4 days (32 hours) banked and I was told I would only get paid for 32 hours ahead of time. Fast forward to the following pay. My job deducted the 8 extra hours of pay without any discussion or authorization. Which resulted in my pay being $300 less then expected. With there being 4 months remaining of the work year, I would've accumulated (banked) more vacation pay which would've made the account balanced by year end. Is what they legal?
