Please advise Thank YouI got terminated after 9 years with the company and employer gave me the Termination notice letter with 12 month salary and health benefit, it should end by May 03, 1017. The employee has refused to help resolve the problem and has blatently rejected any attempt to to co-operate. She refuses to listen to her employer who has been notified of this harrassment and bullying and continues to sabotage my daughter's ability to do job properly to the point that the normal function of the workplace is continually being disrupted with the sabotage activity which includes somewhat violent behaviour at times and in the presence of clients. This has been ongoing for the past year and my daughter has reached the point that she is prepared to quit and walk away due to the distress she experiences. In other words she has reached the breaking point. I am also a witness to this activity as I also work at the same place. We need some advice as to what she should do.I am looking to take a 1 year contract position as I am out of work. However, while I am working during this 1 year contract, can I just give 2 weeks notice and terminate my employment if I find other work (my goal is permanent work)?I terminated an employee for multiple tardies and absenteeism. She was with us a year and a half and terminated 9-8-16. This year she received over 14 tardies and 5 unexcused absences. At 8 tardies this year I issused a verbal warning, 30 days later I issued a written warning (after she was tardy 4 more times). 2 WEEKS after that I terminated her after she got 2 more tardies. THIS IS THE KICKER. I moved her shift to later in the day to help her not be late anymore and she left work 2 more time early even after the write up. She says she had to leave work to get her kids. Do you think I had grounds to terminate her? Previous Next Page 127 of 203
