Hi there, I am currently on medical leave (6 weeks). I received a call today from my manager indicating they are terminating my employment. They indicated although they don't question the validity of my absence that they have a business to run. I have suffered from panic disorder and depression and am trying to use this time off to get healthy and now they are terminating me even though they say they aren't questioning the validity of me being sick.

We currently have two employees on lay off. The lay off was due to shortage of work however, there has been a discussion of termination for them both.
