My employer has retained the services of the third party disability management company which has forced me to sign their consent form using threatening language such as "otherwise your file will be closed for non-compliance". They now hold the right to endlessly investigate my condition and question my health practitioners at my expense. As I am on medical leave without pay I am not entitled to apply for any disability insurance, therefore I am not certain as to why they are repeatedly requiring paperwork given my absence for one day a week has no apparent cost for the company. I feel like the whole procedure is aimed at wearing me down with paperwork and fees. Is this legal? Do I have any recourse? Should I comply? I would really appreciate your input. ThanksHI I started a small business 3 months ago, and my employee has passed the probation period. I was wondering how do I calculate how much vacation pay I need to pay him. Online is says four or six per cent of the total wages earned in each vacation year as vacation pay (depending upon the employee's period of employment upon the completion of the vacation entitlement year) or I don't know what this meansEmployer says they have a right to schedule my 30 minute break, and as such they can schedule it 6,7, or 8 hours after my start time so that it won't effect business needs. They state that I am not allowed to demand to take my break after I've worked 5 hours and it's grounds for insubordination.Had a meeting about my performance, I took minutes of the meeting. My employer didn’t.They are now asking me to see my minutes.Do I have to provide it to them.I joined the organization 1.3 years ago as a manager without direct report at a Federally regulated organization. Throughout the year, the role has been impacted as not a lot of focus was on it. It was decided that eventually I would have a title change or transfer for another department. I received a positive performance review last year. Yesterday, I was told that my role is no longer needed and they want me to switch to a role that is a lower grade than my existing role. The new role is 16% lower than my current salary. My employment letter has a Termination without Cause but no demotion clause. Is this considered a constructive dismissal or what legal grounds do I have? They say I have 2.5 days to accept the new role by Monday. Previous Next Page 9 of 203
