BC, coming up on my 10yr anniversary at workplace, employer has rolled back my base salary as well as changed bonus compensation %, with no formal talks or discussion, simply received a reduced pay on this pay period. Do they need to give written notice and can they legally change pay with no discussion. I have not agreed to or signed anything, have had no warning.

They cannot make unilateral changes to your pay without providing you with adequate notice so what you are describing may amount to an indirect termination of employment (or constructive dismissal). If you don’t challenge the changes you will be deemed to have accepted them and, should you be dismissed, your termination entitlements will be based on your reduced pay. Please call us to schedule an in-depth discussion with one of our layers so that you can make an informed decision about your employment status.
