We have employee who has been on LTD for 2.5 years. He is requesting accommodation to work only part time hours, according to doctor's note. He was a problem employee and we were going to get rid of him before he went on leave. Do we have to accommodate, or can we just say we cannot accommodate and pay him out.

Before taking any action, you should contact our firm to discuss the matter in more detail. It is very important to ensure that you handle this situation properly, as failing to do so could leave your company liable for human rights damages (even if you do in fact pay him severance pay).
