I have an employee who constantly comes in late or not at all. Most times never giving me notice. Several attempts, on many occasions to contact them without success. Reason sometimes given is that they cannot handle the pressure. I've asked them to see a doctor to no avail. It's hurting my business and they insist on picking up their pay. Can I fire them for cause?

if you have documented that you have warned this employee on multiple occasions to no avail, you may be able to assert cause. however we would strongly recommend you speak to a lawyer first.
