I was terminated on Friday the 16th of Feb. How long do they have to pay me out completely?

Thank you for reaching out to our firm.

It depends upon what is meant by pay you out completely. They have to pay what Employment Standards Act ('ESA') notice you may be entitled to as though you continued to work, the length of that will vary. Any ESA severance that you may be entitled to is payable thereafter and common law notice can be negotiated. All of that said, it very much depends.

What is also important is how much they are providing you. To that end, we would encourage you to visit www.severancepaycalculator.com to determine if there may be a shortfall. If there is, or if you would just like to discuss with a lawyer, please contact the number below to schedule a consultation.
