I’ve worked for a company since 2014 and they downsized terminating about 10 employees and offered me 2 weeks termination pay and said I have 2 days to sign a release to agree to the 2 weeks. It’s not even legal. Where do I go from here? What are my rights?

Hello, I'm an employment lawyer with Samfiru Tumarkin. You should not be receiving two weeks termination pay and you should not, under any circumstances, sign the release.

I strongly urge you to contact us to schedule an appointment with one of our lawyers to discuss your actual legal entitlements in this situation. Additionally, you should look at our severance pay calculator to determine what your notice entitlements actually look like (https://www.severancepaycalculator.com/).
