I am working as Admin Coordinator for 10 years and suddenly two weeks ago they terminated me for no reason stated in the termination letter. When I asked the manager why they terminate me effective immediately she said she doesn't know the reason. Suddenly , I found out the reason of termination is because we employees are contracted and they want to eliminate my position and bring it back to the house...my question is , is it right or valid that they just can terminate people just like that ? They never give me a chance to find another job..so depressing, stressful specially I just got a condo and still some expenses to pay.I get hired as a Master electrician from an HVAC Company after a days the company open there account with ESA using my license as an electrical contractor and they start open permits for projects since April 2024 until present, in this case is I have the right to discuss with them to have a percentage from each project even the projects done since April 2024 until now on top of my salary now what can I do….? Please I need your legal opinion , if this case we can win it I need a lawyer to go for it.The company I having been working for since September 2020 is under new management, they took over in October of 2024. While I was away in February 2025, the company introduced a new extended benefits package, prior to this we did not receive additional benefits. When I came back I was told everyone in the company had to sign up, so I did. Not until after I signed up was I notified by another employe that I was responsible for paying for these benefits, I was under the impression that the company was paying for them, because no one had provided any payment information to me with the paperwork. It is now going to cost me $206 plus change - this includes my husband and I. If I had known that I was going to be out of pocket for these expenses I would never have signed the papers - the company has told me that it is mandatory to be signed up for benefits. I would like to know if this is correct, and I have to be out of pocket for these additional expenses.Subject: Assistance with Workplace Harassment and Weekly Indemnity Documentation Good afternoon, I have been working at a non-unionized organization for four years, during which I was not provided with a collective agreement. Back in August 2024, I was chased outside my workplace, which has led to ongoing anxiety. Since then, there have been significant changes in the workplace, including what I believe are unjustified performance reviews, along with personal stresses. As a result, I have been on leave since February 2, 2025. However, I am experiencing harassment from my workplace through unnecessary emails. Recently, they informed me that I am on Weekly Indemnity and requested documentation from a psychiatrist. Unfortunately, my psychiatrist is unable to complete these forms due to having insufficient time to evaluate me fully. I would appreciate your advice on the following: What are my rights in this situation regarding the harassment and excessive communication from my employer? How can I manage their requests for documentation when my psychiatrist is unable to provide it? Are there any legal protections or steps I can take concerning the issues I’ve faced at work (e.g., anxiety from the August 2024 incident, workplace changes, and performance reviews)? Thank you for your guidance. My employer has lied about the reason for my dismissal. On my RoE that I got today it says I quit and that for further details to contact the supervisor. I didn’t quit, while I was looking for other employment I had not put in my two weeks notice yet. The biggest reason they gave me, was my recent streak of absences due to being sick. Stating my recent mental health day was an excuse. They never wrote me up for absenteeism or anything related to what they said at the time. I had reported them prior to the health and safety board for harassment as well. They never gave me written notice about my dismissal either despite being required to by law. According to another previous employee they wrote the exact same on his RoE despite telling him that he was laid off, gave him written notice and everything. Previous Next Page 6 of 203
