My work fired me for being late and going to my baby boys doctor appointments. They knew i was struggeling financally already.

I am in a senior position with a company for 2.5 years. I am 56 years old. My employer has changed my duties time and time again and continues to do so. I am running crazy with n help. I started work last week cleaning rooms and i wasnt shown the right way to to do the job and got fired i was giving a paper on what to do for the day so as i went and did every thing it asked and next i was told i missed a couple things that where not on on list. Do they have the right to fire me

I went through a phone and face interview for a local cafe and was hired. I was fired 10 mins into my shift for having a cigarette off the property before my shift started.
