I sent you a long message earlier today but forgot a couple of very important points: the Board President had emailed the Board of Directors, plus myself on or about April 23rd with her letter of resignation to commence at the next board meeting, which was April 29th, stating she was resigning but at the meeting she rescinded her resignation- this is against the charity laws. So everything the Board President did, she did illegally. So she resined as of April 29th, sent myself a termination emial on May 1st, (which i could not open and still have no idea what it stated), terminated my staff on May 3rd and the volunteers on May 5th and closed the Suicide Prevention Resource Centre drop in doors on May 5th. As well, she invited the local news paper to the termination of the staff and it was picked up by every local paper. She stated that I was incompetent at my job yet it was meself that brought in $178,000 in the last 12 months with another $210,000 pending in grants. Do my staff or myself have grounds to sue? There is much more if someone would email or would like to have a conversation. I did reach out to a lawyer but since I don't have $2000 for a retainer they said they couldn't help ( I live on disability and not getting compensated for almost 4 years this put me into financial distress)
