I am looking to take a 1 year contract position as I am out of work. However, while I am working during this 1 year contract, can I just give 2 weeks notice and terminate my employment if I find other work (my goal is permanent work)?
Nobody is bound to serve out the entire term of a fixed term contract and if the contract doesn't say otherwise you are allowed to resign with notice to your employer.
