Can I get my severance if I am on sick leave?

If your employment has been terminated while you are off on sick leave, you are likely entitled to severance and potentially additional damages for discrimination (you could arguably say that your termination was due in part to being off on sick leave - i.e. a disability under the Human Rights Code).
