I was cired after working almost a year with a company. I was told it was because i was using machines i was asked not to use but my superintendent was putting me on these machines because i the job needed to be done i was never told directly not to use these machines. Is this wrongful dimissal and am i entitled anything

Hi Brad,

Terminating ones employment summarily without any notice or pay can only occur in very exceptional circumstances. From what you have described above it does not appear your matter will fall within the exception. Having said that I would require further details regarding this machine and the nature of notice you received about its use. I would also require further particulars of your employment in order to determine your entitlements for notice and severance. I would recommend that you contact our office and schedule a consultation so that we can discuss this matter further.
