Ask your question about terminations, dismissals and lay offs and an employment lawyer in Ontario, BC or Alberta will answer in minutes
I am considered a self-employed contractor. I have been relieved of my duties. I have an employee who is considered mine, and not my employer. She has worked with me for 10 years at different locations and with a number of arrangements with others like me. But with me for the entire time. What am I obligated to provide. I too have been dismissed.
We would need to know more details regarding your arrangement with the company in order to assess whether you were a true independent contractor. If not, then you may be entitled to notice pay. We would also require further particulars regarding your employee and her employment with you. Please contact our office for a free consultation with one of our lawyers to go over everything with you.
