I was a driver for Uber for over 1 year, and one morning when i was trying to log on to drive as usual, I got a message saying your account need attention, tho I tried several times to no avail, I drove to the office down town Toronto to the office after the rep check my account she informed me that they turn off my app because my scores went down.
She also checked and said they should have notified me that my scores were going down however she saw no email messages that was sent to me ,however she sent a message to the back office and i was told that i will not be able to operate for Uber again.
In the one year I worked for Uber I have dome over 6000 trips and out of 3000 riders who rate me I have over 1600 5 star ratings, bt Uber doesnt treat its drivers with respect

Ultimately, Uber can decide who gets to use its app as a driver and, since driver's are currently characterized as "independent contractors", dont owe them anything upon their termination. However, we are in the process of fighting to get drivers characterized as "employees" so that they have the same rights as any other employee in Ontario.
