I have employed with a large well know organization for 12.5 years in the IT sector. I am currently in a Senior Management role. The first 6 years of employment were contract and the remaining 6 1/2 years was fulltime. While I was a contractor I was "persuaded" by Management to go fulltime as it would be best for my career and family life as I would have stability. Currently my entire department is being transitioned to an outside organization, we are all being packaged out. My question is am I entitled for 6.5 years of severance or 12.5 years?
