Once I have given my employee the proper notification of termination, and the employee decides to not remain to the end of the period, can they demand termination pay or any other compensation? Or is it considered quiting or forfeiting?

If the employee does not work out the working notice period they have resigned their employment and the employee is not entitled to any severance.
