I faced discrimination and harassment at work. I complained. Workplace did third party investivation (paid by employer) and the result came out as "uncivility" not harassment or discrimination. I dont want to return to such toxic environment. How do I go about this without resigning? Can I ask to get laid off? Or do I hireba lawyer?

Thank you for your question. If you have been subject to a toxic work environment this could give rise to a constructive dismissal of your employment, which could trigger your severance entitlements. However, these matters are very fact specific and you would need to consult with one of our employment lawyers so we could thoroughly review your situation and assess whether there are indeed grounds for a constructive dismissal at this time. If you are interested in a formal consultation, please call our office at your earliest convenience.
