Is there a limitation in terms of severance that depends on the revenue/number of employees in a company? I have heard that if the payroll is <$2 million there are limitations in terms of the severance they are obligated to give vs a larger company

An employee's minimum severance entitlements may differ depending on the size of the company's payroll (i.e. if their payroll is more or less than $2.5 million), however, that analysis does not apply to an employee's full severance entitlements, which is based on their age, position and years of service.
