My wife works in a sales position but has been over the past few years working to fill in for managers when they are away on holidays. She would get paid a $350 bonus for the week if she was covering for a manager. This week her employer said they were now only going to pay her $250 per week. when she questioned them about it they say it is a bonus not a salary so they can change it at any time that doesn't seem right.

The employer can try and impose the change and your wife's only options at that point are really to accept it or to resign and claim constructive dismissal, which considering the minimal sum of the change would be a difficult case.
