I was working in an Accounting firm in Downtown Toronto. I started as a 6 Months contract and then hired as fulltime. I only worked Fulltime as 2 weeks as I found a better job. However, I am still getting paid. Do I have to return the money back to the company?

Hello,

I am not exactly clear as to what the circumstances are surrounding the transfer from the accounting firm to the new job. Were you terminated from the accounting firm or did you quit? did you provide notice of your resignation?
Technically if you are still being paid by the accounting firm and you no longer work there and the company discovers this, they could ask for that money to be returned (what was paid to you after your last day worked). However, if you gave two weeks' notice, for example, of your resignation, they generally would pay you for that two week notice period.
