My employer is 95 years old, I have been employed there for 30 years. If he passes away what is the process for ensuring I receive my severance pay? If I go on medical and my employer closes the business would I still be entitled to my severance pay. I am the only employee (general store). Thank you.

You are entitled to termination pay if your employment is terminated, irrespective of whether you are on a medical leave or not. Call us if you receive a termination letter, the business closes or the owner of the business dies and we will explain your entitlements and the practical steps you need to take to get paid.
