Ask your question about terminations, dismissals and lay offs and an employment lawyer in Ontario, BC or Alberta will answer in minutes
I am about to be recalled to work in the next couple of days. Is it too late to use the temporary layoff as a constructive dismissal due to the fact that they have announced a re-opening date of August 16th on the news.
I was given a PIP today, and I asked for time to get it back to the employer before signing, I have till Tuesday, July 13, what if i dont give it by then?, can they terminate me? I need help with a response from a lawyer, a nd no lawyer available till after Wednesday, July 14 only.
What should i do at a termination meeting? Besides not sign a release. Do i take any cheque the present?
If my job responsibilities drastically changed during the COVID-19 pandemic, but I don't have my initial job posting that outlined what my responsibilities were pre-COVID, can a case be created with minor chance of success? Or, as there is no evidence of my responsibilities before the pandemic, will this revert to a he said/she said case.
If I took a leave of absence in November due to COVID out break at work and my husband’s highly compromised Amun’s system. I tried to return to work. Was asked to meet with new Manager, did so and then told a week later. I could not return to work. I have not received any paperwork stating I was let go and I did not resign. Where do I stand? I have not claimed verb or E i during this period.
